Privacy policy

This page explains which personal data AK FERMETURES processes, why, for how long, and what your rights are, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act.

Data we receive

We only receive the data you choose to send us: name, phone number, email address, town and address of the project, description of the project and, where applicable, photos.

When you use the quote form, your request and photos are stored on our web host’s server and we are notified by email. Photos are resized and their metadata, including any GPS location, is removed. You can also message us directly on WhatsApp, email us or call us.

Why we use it

• To answer your requests and prepare quotes: pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To carry out and follow up the work: performance of the contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To meet our accounting and tax obligations: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Your data is never sold or used for advertising.

Who has access

Only AK FERMETURES has access to your data, through a password-protected admin area. Requests are stored with the website host named in the legal notice. A copy of each request reaches our Gmail mailbox (Google). If you message us on WhatsApp (Meta), your messages pass through that service. These providers may process data outside the European Union, under the safeguards provided for by the GDPR.

To prevent abuse, the IP address a request is sent from is kept as a pseudonymised fingerprint for no more than 48 hours. The host also keeps technical logs (IP address, pages viewed, date) to keep the website secure and working properly.

Retention periods

• Quote requests that do not lead to a contract: 3 years from our last exchange, then deleted automatically.
• Client files (quotes, invoices, project documents): 10 years, the duration of the ten-year liability and of the retention of accounting records (article L.123-22 of the French Commercial Code).

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, write to a.k.ferm@gmail.com or to the postal address above. We will reply within one month.

If, after contacting us, you consider that your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).

Cookies and trackers

If you accept, this website uses Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) to measure visits: pages viewed, visit length, type of device, approximate city. These cookies are kept for 13 months at most. Without your consent, no measurement cookie is set.

You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of each page. Your choice is saved in your browser for 6 months.

The admin area reserved for AK FERMETURES also uses a strictly necessary login cookie. Fonts and images are hosted on this website.
